Corey Anderson Tampa,FL: Hi I too did not have the opportunity to get a Yorkie from Bonnie, But my story is very important and I want everyone to hear it. I bought a Yorkie puppy from a breeder in Tampa,Fl. I did not know about the difference in the quality from AKC to CKC until it was too late. My Yorkie is CKC registered and the lady told me that the daddy is AKC and the mommy is CKC but I can register than with both AKC and CKC, She also told me that the Yorkie would not get any bigger than 5lbs. She breeds yorkies, Maltese, and some other kind of dog I don't know. But anyway I believed her. My Yorkie is 9 months old now and she weighs over 12lbs!! She does not look like a true yorkie and has alot of white all over her. The papers that she gave me were CKC papers. I asked for the AKC papers and she said, she never sent them in because AKC charges to register a litter? SO I cant register my Yorkie AKC! She looks more like a Maltese than a yorkie and I am very disappointed that the breeder lied to me just to sell me a puppy. I know this puppy is not a purebred Yorkie, no-one that sees her thinks she is a yorkie. Althou I love her very much and wont give her up for nothing. I still am very angry that this lady lied about the puppy. I can see why everyone says to stick with AKC! They take great pride in making sure that mixed dogs are not registered as purebred dogs. So PLEASE be very careful if you get a yorkie, Make sure it is AKC and nothing else, you might pay a little more for a AKC puppy, But if you are really serious about getting a yorkie and want the best then you wont mind.
