BUYER BEWARE

We have designed this page to keep all Yorkshire Terrier owners, future owners, and breeders informed of current news of breeders being convicted of animal cruelty, puppy mills being shut down, complaints of sick or dying puppies people have purchased. This is all FACTUAL news and can be found on line. We are just trying to make it easier for people to catch up on what is going on out there. We are looking out for the Yorkshire Terrier and hope that this keeps people on the alert as well.

Dont be sucked in by a story, If it sounds too good to be true IT IS!- There are people out there right now trying to "sell" Yorkies for $ 300.00, DONT be fooled by this, They will send you an email telling you about a missionary trip overseas and they just want to find a good home for the puppy. THIS IS A SCAM! The fact that they are posing as a "Christian" is pathetic it is also pathetic that they are mostly from Nigeria and cant be prosecuted. Please dont fall for this, You will never find a Yorkie puppy that cheap unless it is a scam.

Always get a number to call them, an address so that you can look it up and make sure that it is for real. The pictures that they show on their ad are from someone else trying to sell their puppies, They dont have any puppies!

Scammers will tell you to send money western union, which sounds good to you, BUT did you know that once you give them the MTCN number or money transfer number, they can pick up the  money ANYWHERE!!!!  They do not have to show ANY form of I.D. with that number, You will never be able to trace the money! They will tell you they are in Florida and they are really in California.

when buying on line NEVER PAY WITH WESTERN UNION!   Western Union does not offer any form of protection for loss of money, once you have sent the money and you have been scammed you are out that money.

If you know of a story that would help keep people informed, or a situation that you have gone thru with your yorkie. PLEASE email us and let us know. Yorkie Lovers have got to stick together and help each other stay informed. There are so many BAD BREEDERS out there and if enough people know about them and refuse to buy from them, Maybe it will shut them down and they will not have the opportunity to breed sick puppies anymore and hurt families that have suffered the lose of a yorkie because of them or spend hundreds of dollars just to keep them alive, after they spent money buying them with the understanding that they were healthy.
In the many years that I have been breeding, I have heard some really horrible stories of people buying Yorkshire Terriers from breeders and have experienced the puppy either being sick with parvo and dying, or they have spent hundreds of dollars keeping the puppy alive. These people continue to sell puppies to make money and don't care about the health of the puppy or of the impact the it will have on the family if the puppy dies, or they have to spend more money to keep it alive.
CHAMPBULLIES: It has been brought to my attention about this couple that sell Yorkies, Bulldogs. BEWARE! Several puppies that they have sold, they have done so without papers and health certificates! being told they will get them to the people as soon as they come in. DONT FALL FOR THIS PLEASE! Several puppies have been sick and needed medical attention when they got home. They are selling them in poor condition, unclean and unhealthy. PLEASE help yourself and the puppy and turn them in. They are a very poor example of a breeder. They are definitely in it for the money, and are pathetic people.

JULIE SOUTULLO & ARMANDO SOUTULLO: These 2 pathetic people have got to take the cake, when it comes to worthless. I have had SO MANY complaints against these people that I did some research and found that in N. Miami Beach Fl courthouse there is 52 CASES OF ANIMAL Cruelty against them, they go by " Dixie pups", Yorkalicious, and several other names that I will post when I get the information back on them, They have been in the news, on t.v. and arrested for animal cruelty charges, BUT she is STILL out on the streets and selling puppies that are from Argentina and are sick. Several people have told me their stories and I wish I had the authority to put her in jail myself. In the 52 cases against her over 40 of those puppies have died. She is malicious, pathetic and don't deserve to even touch an animal. Her husband is a pathetic piece of garbage as well. She is located on west Dixie hwy in N Miami Beach, Fl. She ships puppies all over U.S.A. with fraudulent health records.

PETLAND-  Concerned Citizens against Petland and other animal advocates are protesting against Petland stores in Northeastern OHIO and Columbus in the wake of a national investigation that revealed that the chain sells puppies purchased from puppy mills.

" Petland is perpetuating the abusive puppy mill industry, where dogs are treated not like pets, but like cash crop" said Stephanie Shain, who helped track petland's puppy purchases for the Humane Society of the United States.

Government records show that the Petland in Cleveland Heights, for instance, bought puppies from a mill in Minnesota that has been repeatedly cited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for unsanitary conditions and failure to provide veterinary care. You can see more details at stoppuppymills.org

Petland responds on its website: " Our pets come from professional and hobby breeders who have years of experience in raising quality family pets. Petland puppies are checked by a vet before being offered to the customer". Please tell me if this has been brought to their attention and they keep buying puppies from this pathetic puppy mill, Just how much do they really care about selling a quality pet, and how can they call these puppies quality when they know exactly the condition that these puppies come from and STILL sell the puppies. This is a sad sad store.

Please don't get Petland mixed up with Petsmart. Petsmart does not sell puppies and kittens, Rather it welcomes into its stores, non-profit groups that offer rescued cats and dogs (probably some of Petland's animals) for adoption.

PINE BLUFF KENNELS IN LYLES TN- Nearly 700 dogs have a new lease on life after teams of rescuers under the command of the HSUS arrived to save them from a massive puppy mill operation in lyles, TN The removal of the dogs marks the largest puppy mill rescue ever conducted in Tennessee.

The rescue was set into motion by the HSUS Tennessee State Director, Who received undercover tips and worked with investigators with the District Attorney's Office for the 21st Judicial District to build a case against the puppy mill operator.

Nearly 700 dogs are being removed from the PINE BLUFF KENNELS. The operator of the facility will be given 15 days after her first court date to post a seizure bond on the animals. If she is unable to post bond, the animals will be surrendered to Hickman County. they will then be placed with HSUS partner shelters and given the opportunity to become the family pet they never had the opportunity to be.

JAMES JORDAN & DOVIE CARTER in TAMPA FL- More than 60 Yorkshire Terriers were seized from a family-run puppy mill. They are alive but suffering aliments commonly associated with neglect authorities said. Puppies were seized from 2 homes which were littered with trash, old food, and feces.Investigators recovered the puppies from James Jordan's home at 8912 N 39th Street and Dovie Carter's home at 304 Orsley Drive in Seffner. Carter is Jordan's mother. Many of he dogs were missing teeth and hair. Dehydrated and showing signs of stress and fleas. Animal services became aware of the living conditions through a tipster who had arranged to adopt a dog. When the owners would not meet at their home and brought the dog in a dirty carrier, the person alerted authorities. She called the incident a classic case of the animals being bred for profit and treated improperly. She said owners who are unwilling to show potential adopters their homes, the puppy's parents or proper health records are cause for alarm. Be very very careful and make sure you can get a good look-see3 where the animals are born and raised.

PETSTORES/FLEA MARKETS- Many Many Petstores and fleamarkets are selling puppies that are not only from puppymills, alot of the puppies are from argentina and shipped to the U.S.A. to sell. If the dont have the opportunity to see the parents of the puppy, where it has grown up, how it has lived, BUT you are looking at a puppy in a 10X10 cage, the odds that the puppy came from a puppymill or out of the country are 10 to 1! WHY would you support this?

We need your help! If you have had an experience or know of a bad breeder or puppymill, PLEASE inform us to that we can spread the word. The more people that we have out there to stop this puppymills the better.
